Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how BanterFC ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the BanterFC mobile application and web app (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

BanterFC is intended for adults only. By signing up you confirm you are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly permit minors to register. If we identify an underage account we may suspend or delete it.

a) Information you provide

• Email address - used for account creation, authentication, password reset, and support.
• Username and password - for account identity and sign-in (we store hashed passwords; see Security).
• User content - posts, comments, votes, boosts, and any images or links you upload or paste into posts.
• Reports and moderation submissions - when you submit reports or other moderation requests.

b) Information collected automatically

• Device identifier - a unique ID generated by BanterFC and bound to your device for session, device management, and anti-abuse purposes.
• App activity logs - such as login events, coin transactions, ad interactions, and basic usage telemetry required to operate the service.
• Advertising identifiers - ad SDKs may collect device and advertising identifiers for ad serving and measurement purposes.

We do not collect your real name, phone number, or precise location.

We use collected information to:

• Create and manage user accounts and authentication sessions.
• Display feed content (posts, comments, images) and record interactions (votes, boosts).
• Deliver ads to non-premium users and reward optional ad views with in-app coins.
• Support moderation, abuse detection, and safety investigations.
• Communicate with you about account or policy matters.
• Fulfill and record in-app purchases and subscription entitlements.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

We use advertising SDKs to show banner and rewarded ads. These SDKs may collect limited device and ad interaction data under their own policies. Rewarded ads are strictly optional - a user chooses to view a rewarded ad to receive coins. Banner ads display for non-premium users by default.

In-app purchases: BanterFC uses Google Play Billing or the Apple Store for real-money purchases. We do not store payment card details; payment processing is handled by the payment provider. We keep purchase metadata (purchase token, SKU, timestamps) to fulfill entitlements and for bookkeeping.

Uploaded images, posts, and other user content are stored on our servers and are associated with the post or gallery entries. We may remove, block, or retain content that violates our policies or is required to be retained for legal reasons.

We retain posts, comments, images, votes, and related metadata as needed to operate the Service. A "Delete My Account" option is available within the app and web. Some data (e.g. logs, backups, or content under legal hold) may remain for a limited period for security, legal, or moderation purposes.

We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted transport (HTTPS), strong password hashing, and device-bound authentication tokens with rotation and revocation support. Despite these measures no system is perfectly secure. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact support@banterfc.app.

Where applicable law provides you with rights (for example under GDPR), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights contact support@banterfc.app.

We share data only as necessary to operate the service and comply with law:

• Service providers: hosting, storage, and third-party services such as ad networks and payment processors.
• Legal requests: where required by law or to respond to lawful requests from public authorities.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for marketing or profiling.

Your data may be stored or processed in countries outside your home country. When cross-border transfers occur we will use reasonable safeguards consistent with applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy over time. For significant changes we will attempt to notify users in-app or by email when feasible.
